Les Curtis commits a murder to steal two counterfeit currency plates, then commits another while swindling the intended buyers out of $20,000. Appearing to be an innocuous insurance agent carrying a briefcase, he is able to hitch a ride with two women. The ladies are unaware that the "nice young man" is a double murderer who is being hotly pursued by the Highway Patrol AND by a vengeful victim of his swindle.
