Achmed is hospitalized with a major concussion inflicted by the nocturnal intruder in retired Otto Böhring's repair cafe where they work their handyman magic among other volunteers, the premises where vandalized, probably in search of something. Only single mother Jannika Montag's pendulum clock, brought in last evening and of little value, is reported stolen, but Heldt's team soon finds various items, allegedly beyond repair, were 'disposed off' by furtive Internet sale. Volunteer Ralf Wester is an ex-con, former cellmate of bank-robber Rudolf Kraska, whom the stolen clock belonged to in jail, which also links to someone less obvious.
