Together with his colleague Christian Schneider and secretary Vera Busch, he fights against fraudsters both large and small. The spectrum ranges from pizza bakers who pay protection money to master butchers who source meat from ominous sources to card sharps and drug dealers. The office also includes the factotum Grabowski and, from the second season, in which Vera Busch becomes an investigator, her successor Roswitha Löffler.
