𝗔 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 While certainly rough around the edges, I think the first season of Netflix’s newest animated venture, 𝘏𝘢𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘏𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘭, did a great job at establishing a framework that the show can easily build off of going forward. The general atmosphere is very well done and the characters, or at least the main family, feel very realistic as to how they relate to each other. While I won’t go into spoilers here, the back third of the first season manages to go far more in-depth emotionally than I was expecting for this sort of show, with elements that make what each family member is going through feel incredibly realistic despite the outlandish settings. The show is also a nice break from the typical TV-14/TV-MA style in terms of how it is written. While each episode can stand fine on its own, there is noticeable emotional growth for each of the main characters that builds throughout the season, as opposed to a complete reset like most animated sitcoms have. With Netflix having a terrible track record when it comes to axing shows before they can really take off, I am very glad a second season of 𝘏𝘢𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘏𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘭 is on the way in late 2026.
