Esteban Garcia, an old friend of Matt's (Don Matteo), rides in to Dodge trailing Garth Tabor, a loathsome gunslinger who has already had a run in with Matt at the Long Branch. When Estaban informs Matt of his intent to kill Tabor to protect his family honor, Matt tries to talk him out of it, informing him that, despite their friendship, if he goes through with the killing, he'll have to answer to Matt.
