Gustavo "Guga" Kuerten spends his first right years at a club playing sports with his father Aldo. Aldo notices his talent for tennis and asks Larri Passos to train him. Larri promises to do it when Guga is older. This promise gains more weight when Aldo passes away from a heart attack. Larri coaches Guga until 1997, when, despite being an unknown player, manages to win Roland Garros.
