Where to Watch Gotham
- Germaximus1d agoIt's a bit slow and can be hard to binge but for the most part it just keeps getting better. I don't know why they decided to ruin the origin of Bane and force the story from The Dark Knight into the final season but it was decent. I also don't like how slapstick silly Penguin and Riddler got towards the very end of the series. That didn't make much sense to me. I loved the portrayal of Joker here. Poison Ivy's actress swaps were odd. My first thought when she first changed was like, "yeah, that makes sense, not only was she way too young but she was also very ugly." They have an excuse for the changes but I think they mainly just messed up with the original casting of her. Overall it's an excellent show. The story and the acting were great.
- Danny Potter-JonesNovember 20, 2025So this is a complicated one. Personally I believe this slowly went tits up because the higher ups didn't put it on the same level as the films or even animated shows. They couldn't even get the rights to the name Joker I do believe they couldn't use the name Batman for a long time or they never used it at all but this show isn't really about Batman so some would understand that. The actors in this was really good majority of them fit the characters like a glove. It's just a shame that it wasn't taken seriously and that's why I think the script was up and down. First season very good start I really did like the main villain she doesn't exist in the comics but she was very good in this but for some to fully enjoy this I think you'd have to look at it as another universe instead of the main universe because if you try to align it with anything batman related it doesn't fit very well because of time, place and names which is too many issues for hardcore fans. It was destined to fail as a big project because of the rights of characters. Big movie studios do not like sharing characters with TV shows especially when they're both active at the same time. Oddly could have been far worse if it wasn't for the actors.
