An air-raid bails him out where Phoebe is concerned, but Ron's marriage pays the price for Gary's present day excuses.

He is nervous and the doctor gives him pills to relax him. Due to an air-raid he ducks out of the Astoria gig early and makes it back to the theatre with Yvonne but, having taken so many pills, he collapses on stage.

A Portakabin is erected in Duckett's Passage for building work. It almost blocks Gary's trip to the past but, unlike Ron, he manages to find a way through in time for Phoebe's birthday.
