An air-raid bails him out where Phoebe is concerned, but Ron's marriage pays the price for Gary's present day excuses.

Due to an air-raid he ducks out of the Astoria gig early and makes it back to the theatre with Yvonne but, having taken so many pills, he collapses on stage.

A Portakabin is erected in Duckett's Passage for building work. It almost blocks Gary's trip to the past but, unlike Ron, he manages to find a way through in time for Phoebe's birthday.
