⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (out of 5) God Friended Me – Faith, friendship, and a little divine coding. “God Friended Me” is one of those rare shows that manages to be uplifting without being preachy, heartfelt without being saccharine. It follows Miles, the atheist son of a church minister, whose life is turned upside down when he receives a mysterious Facebook friend request — from “God.” With the help of friends, he begins following the account’s suggestions to help strangers in need, all while trying to uncover who, or what, is behind it. The result is a modern parable about connection, belief, and purpose, told through technology rather than scripture. Each episode balances mystery and emotion beautifully, showing how even small acts of kindness can ripple outward in unexpected ways. The ensemble cast — from sceptics to believers — grounds the story in humanity rather than miracle, keeping it honest and relatable. By the end, much like faith itself, the mystery remains unsolved. But the journey there is warm, funny, and profoundly moving. It’s not about finding answers — it’s about finding meaning. Even as an atheist, I’d 100% recommend God Friended Me. You don’t have to believe in God to believe in what this show stands for: hope, empathy, and the simple power of doing good.
