After falling in love, the two go on a bank robbery spree, making off with $500,000 in cash. They flee the U.S., but Detective Tom VanMeter, FBI Special Agent Mike Sanborn, and Special Agent Alvie Price take up the chase. When a tip comes in that Pritchert and Guthrie are in Cape Town, South Africa, the FBI sends a team to take the two down and end the six-year manhunt.
