Dries and Esther quickly discover that the mother lied—her son was kidnapped, and she was forced to tell this story. The child is found soon afterward but is heavily drugged. Dries and Esther discuss the case with Hein Berg, who believes the kidnapping is the top priority, but an insurance representative, a former policeman, disagrees. Meanwhile, Stan and Lieve investigate the brutal assault of a gay man who was attacked after leaving his favorite bar. - Article 1
E6Article 1Dries and Esther investigate the murder of a wealthy Rotterdam man, who appears to have been a victim of date rape due to his online meetings with strange men. However, he was estranged from his religious family, and not everyone there seems to be telling the truth. Meanwhile, Stan and Lieve handle a report from a banker whose car and house have been vandalized. As he is responsible for managing overdue payments at the bank, a number of people emerge as possible suspects. When the banker also goes missing, all alarms go off. - Greed

E8RIPA truck driver reports his suspicion that certain shipments he transports from the port contain cocaine. He approaches the detectives to catch the perpetrators red-handed. However, it’s up to Prosecutor Berg to make the final decision. Berg hesitates to put a civilian at risk, but the driver and detectives push for the plan. Eventually, Berg agrees, though whether it's a wise decision remains to be seen. Meanwhile, Stan begins to realize there’s more going on with his former partner Ben, and that the mysterious Van Nieuwerbroek is involved. Officially, however, he can’t take any action against him. - Caged
E9CagedA young Polish woman is found dead behind the greenhouses in the Westland, with an autopsy revealing severe injuries. Initial evidence points to her employer, known for making advances toward his young female employees. However, when it’s discovered that she was picked up the night before her death by a shady figure in an expensive car, the investigation takes a turn toward a more dangerous world. Meanwhile, Stan finally gets the chance to apprehend Van Nieuwerbroek. - Guilt
E10GuiltVan Nieuwerbroek is released on Hein Berg’s orders. When Van Nieuwerbroek is found murdered the next day, Stan becomes the prime suspect. Hein and Lieve suspect that the mysterious Hunter Vaals may be involved in the murder of former colleague Ben. Hein assigns Esther and Dries to find out who Vaals is, a task that proves to be more dangerous than they anticipate. Meanwhile, Stan seizes an opportunity to leave the detention area after an interrogation by the National Investigation Service. He knows he must warn his colleagues, but he may already be too late.
