Flemming and Berit live a boring, ordinary life. Berit is looking for a new man with big brown eyes, while Flemming goes bankrupt in his company and gets employed by the tax authorities and gets Ruth as secretary - to Berit's obvious annoyance. Flemming and Berit have two children aged 10 and 12, respectively, who we hear a lot about through the series but never see.
