Ed, who narrowly escaped death, tries to return home to Oregon and agrees to tell his own story if he is transported to Texas. Meanwhile, Althea is convinced that her videos are of benefit to the survivors and hopes for a better future. Her new interviewees are CJ and Earl, friendly travelers who are willing to share stories about how they survive in a harsh and changing world.
