Liv Thomsen and a number of historians tell about the unequal Denmark that ruled well into the twentieth century. It is almost like yesterday, historically speaking, that there were really many poor and very few rich, and that the Danes lived in a strongly hierarchical society. We show life at the top and at the bottom; from the boned floors to the deepest slum. And we visit six different places where people were under the same roof, but under very different conditions. They were in one place, but in two worlds.
