Mrs Petrell visits Katthult and offers to pay Alma for bottles of cherry wine. Alma asks Emil to dig down the leftover fermented cherries but instead he feeds his pig and the chickens with them. The animals go crazy from the alcoholic stew, creating chaos on the farm.
