Toomai is suspected of having stolen a camera from a journalist in the reserve, because the statement of two elephant leaders, so-called "Mahouts", weighs heavily on him. One of the two men shows Bergen the place where Toomai supposedly hid the camera, and when Bergen actually finds the stolen property there, so he separates Toomai from his elephant Kala Nag.
