Robert Eichholz is still the leading senior boss of a long-established joinery. With his wife Charlotte he has two sons, Konrad and Manfred, who work in their own business. Even on his 69th birthday, the despotic master carpenter has no intention of giving up the reins of the company. Full of energy, the old tyrant absolutely wants to continue the company founded by his great-grandfather in 1876. His sons hoped in vain that their resolute father would retire. Konrad now wants to take the consequences, finally stand on his own two feet and move out of the family community. When father Eichholz found out about Konrad's change plans, he threw him out in anger without notice. Numerous conflicts are looming...
