Season 1 Reviews
Washington Post
Tom Shales
Easy Money isn't the kind of show likely to clean up at Emmy time. But it has the same sort of eccentric, addled charm that marks an increasing number of current television shows.
USA Today
Robert Bianco
[Easy] Money doesn't seem to know what or where it wants to be, landing in some netherworld between a broadcast comedy and an edgier cable drama. Still, it does qualify as the best new show on the CW.
Los Angeles Times
Mary McNamara
Easy Money is worth watching simply because it showcases what is rarely seen on television these days: the working class. "Easy Money" promises a bracing dose of real populism.
New York Daily News
David Hinckley
Easy Money has some promise. But it won't be an easy sell.
The Hollywood Reporter
Barry Garron
Although the premiere could be more energetic, there's enough going on to coax you to revisit the Buffkins.
TIME Magazine
James Poniewozik
The show isn't perfect; the pilot worked a little too hard to sell its themes. But [Jeff] Hephner makes a compelling, sympathetic lead as the scion who's not entirely comfortable with his family's business.
Boston Globe
Matthew Gilbert
The premiere is sloppily made, as it careens loosely among plotlines and characters, but Morgan is a worthy character played by a promising young actor. Through him, we see that easy money can be hard on the lender as well as on the borrower.
New York Times
Ginia Bellafante
Easy Money has as its executive producers Diane Frolov and Andrew Schneider, alumni of The Sopranos, and it aims for a similar mood and tone of chiaroscuro. But it is as if they were using flashlights to produce it.
Variety
Laura Fries
The series has that quirky, character-driven appeal that usually resonates well with viewers.
Newark Star-Ledger
Alan Sepinwall
It's a more complex show than you would expect on the CW and maybe it lives up to its potential down the road, but right now potential is all it is.
Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
Rob Owen
The "Easy Money" production values are low all-around but they wouldn't be as noticeable if the characters and tedious story sparked to life. They don't, and it doesn't.
Boston Herald

You might as well just watch an infomercial. You'd get more entertainment out of one.
Common Sense Media
Melissa Camacho
Older teens and adults may appreciate the show's solid writing and may find the characters and plotlines entertaining enough to while away an evening.
