An ordinary family from Nymburk. Jarda and Katka Staňek. They run ropes together in the alley near the square. In business and family strategies, however, they politely disagree quite often. Their 15-year-old son Luděk goes to a quarter of the local grammar school, he would like to become a hip-hopper, but so far he feels rather misunderstood. Despite everything, Janička's daughter would like to become a lawyer again, like her uncle Vladimír Novotný, the most feared Nymburk lawyer. Vladimír's beautiful wife Pavlína would like something very much, but she doesn't know what it should be. Grandpa Wenceslas knows this very well. He prefers porridge, but not what they do in a retirement home. Stanek, their relatives, acquaintances and neighbors, are not, as usual, quite satisfied with their lives. Of course, at the crucial moment, none of them think that it could be even worse.
