Mauro cannot stand the idea of having lost that precious tape and launches into investigations. Luca and Corrado, on the other hand, try to solve a difficult case whose victim is a young woman, a chat lover, who is found suffocated in her home. Meanwhile, Vittoria and Ingargiola seem to be jealous of each other and Ardenzi receives a letter from Francesca.
