Locksmith Alfred Seidl is found fatally head-injured under his balcony by his nosy neighbor, who fears to have killed him by falling flower pot, but it was accident nor suicide, the corpse was moved. His deputy Robert Behnke takes over for now, but cheaper, more modern, yet unprofitably small competitor Willy Neubauer smells another chance at the police contract, which Achtziger refused to decide by tender. Sven, Korbinian, Miki and fraud detective Tobias Hartl work out the Seidl firm was probably involved in a number of robberies in estates they secured, especially the contraband art collector Erika Bernauer.
