Stadler and Winter look into his conflict with collaborator Fabian Bruckberg, the 'nose' who got a more prestigious offer to work in Paris but had a delousing clause, head of Marketing Volker Reuther, whose excessive expenses abroad blew up, Grafs haughty assistant and ex Iris 'Marchand' Schimmering, who acts indispensable, and her lowly assistant. Finally the recipe fro the latest, Japanese-inspired perfume was illegally sold. Stadler's bargain birthday present for suspicious wife Hilde only adds to her jealousy about him dining with a school friend.
