In a wood near Rosenheim, hikers find a male corpse, skull-smashed with left-behind bloody branch. It's incorrigible ex-con fraudster and thief Uwe Drechsler, who was posing as (real estate) investment advisor. Near the body lies a luxury model metal attache case full with fake bundles of banknotes, only the top ones being real, similar to the stacks found in his home office. Chief Achtziger must take charge for lack of other detective to act as Verena Danner's case partner. Agenda entries lead them to Lissy von Ackersberg and Claudia Berthold, both cheated by the charmer fiend, who also blackmailed husband Gisbert von Ackersberg.
