Rintaro Yuri was a former detective and criminal psychologist who left the Metropolitan Police Department after an incident. He then moved to Kyoto where he used to stay when he was a student. There, he set up an office in an antique shop run by Satomi Hada. He later meets an aspiring young mystery writer Junsuke Mizuki. Together, they help Rintaro's old friend Todoroki who is also a detective in solving difficult cases.
