Desperate Housewives Ratings & Reviews
- ርልዪረAugust 31, 2025This show is dark and addictive. I have watched it a few times over the years and I can say it stands the test of time, it's a classic. It has some campy moments that made me laugh so hard, and other serious moments that made me cry. It's about friendship and taking care of each other, but there is definitely some dark humor, some hilarious, some sad moments, all in all a 10/10 show. It's a prime time soap, but not just for women, men will like it too. If you like this show, you'll love Devious Maids as well. They share some writers and some of the actors from Desperate Housewives also appear on Devious Maids. They don't make TV like this anymore, and it's sad.
- LaraNOctober 24, 2025Probably one of the best series I have ever watched.....you can relate to all these women and it is full of fun, love, drama, action, deceit, betrayal and bonds that are formed between friends and family.
- flavo435d agoDesperate Housewives began as a sharp, stylish, and wildly entertaining series, blending mystery, satire, and suburban drama with a cast that felt perfectly chosen for their roles. The early seasons were packed with clever storylines, memorable characters, and a setting—Wisteria Lane—that became iconic almost instantly. It balanced humour, intrigue, and emotional depth in a way that made it must‑watch television. However, after the first five seasons, the show started to lose momentum. The long broadcast‑TV format, with its 20‑plus‑episode seasons, likely contributed to the fatigue; sustaining that level of creativity and tension over so many hours is a tall order. Plots became more repetitive, twists less surprising, and the once‑tight pacing began to stretch thin. Even so, the series remains a standout of its era, remembered for its bold tone, strong ensemble, and the unforgettable spark it had at its peak.
