Cameron Black must join a secret society of magicians, the Unseen Hand, which agent Kay and he suspect of major criminal activities, including bomb laying. He needs to resort to illusionist intrusion, executed in real time with his team, against an expert public. Meanwhile the team wrestles with what to tell him and Jonathan about what they found concerning their father and magic mentor.
