Stefano is devastated that Kristen and John would make love in a church. Austin, Carrie rush to the docks and hear a gun shot. They find Alan bleeding on the ground. Sami shot him in the groin. Sami confesses to Abe about shooting Alan in self defence. John continues to comfort Kristen. Stefano dissuades Tony from entering the church. Possessed Marlena watches from the bushes. John wants Kristen to see a doctor in case she was raped and is pregnant. But Kristen tells him that she can't be pregnant because she's on the pill. Bo and Billie decide to pledge their love to each other. Out in a winter wonderland. They recite their wedding vows to each other. Carrie is feeling very guilty about Sami shooting Alan.
