A number of private companies are venturing into the development of space technology, which was until now a government program. Mojave, a desert town in California, is at the forefront of space exploration. Fourteen companies gathered there for a competition to develop the next generation of spacecrafts. Their projects, however, aren't limited to just building space vehicles. They're also working on developing space ports and space hotels.
