Kevin blames Mark for Sally' accident as she recovers in hospital with a broken ankle. Sally however insists that the car was faulty before the crash. Ken accuses Deirdre of spending too much time at the Town Hall and letting Tracy down. He then goes on to inform her that Wendy has been sacked for gross misconduct. Ken apologies to Wendy for Deirdre's behaviour and offers her a job at the Recorder. Gail fears that Martin thinks upon her as a conquest, but Martin convinces Gail that he's serious about her and they decide to keep their relationship a secret. Martin then stands Jenny up to take Nicky to the park.
