An element of comedy is added to the show through comedian Dave Lamb, who provides a dry and "bitingly sarcastic" narration.

And there's no shortage of shocks and surprises as layer after saucy layer is peeled away from the usually quiet and reserved host. However it's sauciness of a different kind when one of the guests defiantly adds their own condiments to each of the three courses, much to the annoyance of the other guests.
