Amateur chefs compete against each other by hosting a dinner party for the other contestants. Each competitor then rates the host's performance with the winner winning a £1,000 cash prize. An element of comedy is added to the show through comedian Dave Lamb, who provides a dry and "bitingly sarcastic" narration.

Tim's taking advantage of his worldly travels with a truly international menu. After a turbulence free day in the kitchen, Tim continues to charm his guests - in particular DJ Guy, though having sampled Tim's food, Guy's feeling a pinch of jealousy. Can the bromance survive? And there's no shortage of shocks and surprises as layer after saucy layer is peeled away from the usually quiet and reserved host. However it's sauciness of a different kind when one of the guests defiantly adds their own condiments to each of the three courses, much to the annoyance of the other guests.
