The team reopens the 1991 murder of Laura McKinney, a 22-year-old inner-city schoolteacher, thought to have been killed in a car jacking gone wrong, when her car keys are discovered in an old desk at her high school. The investigation leads them to her class of rowdy, underachieving students, one of whom that could know the truth of that night, while there were drugs being dealt.
