Ghent's red-light district is in turmoil when prostitute Eva Meskens is the victim of a knife attack. Injured and traumatised, Eva is unable to provide many details of the assault. Not deterred the team open their investigation, but each avenue leads to a dead end. It is not long before the offender strikes again and leaves his "permanent signature" of a religious symbol on another victim.
