Stefano Renzi is the commissioner of the Venetian police. Together with his friend and colleague, Antonio Esposito, he is investigating an expected drug delivery at the port when Stefano's younger brother Gianluca returns to his hometown. On the way he met Ivana, a Polish woman who is new in Venice. Ivana's sister Anna is about to get married to Filippo Dandolo. The big entrepreneur and art collector, known as 'the Doge', pretends to come from one of the most distinguished families in Venice, but his origins and that of his wealth are in the dark. Gianluca takes Ivana to a rave, but the party takes an unexpected turn: dealers distribute a new synthetic drug called 'Passion Flower'.
