It was the most I had ever laughed at the TV - I couldn't wait to talk about it at school the next day, little did I know I had just witnessed history. It also gave me one of my first real understandings of what racism actually is—something that’s often misunderstood or thrown around without context nowadays. As a kid growing up in poverty and struggle, coming home to Chappelle’s Show was a highlight.
