Cardinal and Delorme believe they may be looking for a professional killer. That killer now appears to be stalking a new target, Barry Leblanc. Cardinal has suspicions about a man named Taj Roy, but he has an alibi for the first murder. As the detectives struggle to connect the dots, the killer abducts not Barry but his elderly mother, Adele.
