A major event known as "G Quest" is to be organized by the Federation of International Vanguard Associations (FIVA) this autumn. Those who conquer six Branch Quests will be honored the title "Generation Master" as well as the chance to become a Clan Leader. While members of TRY3 are all excited by new goals ahead, a massive conspiracy that would lead to the destruction of Vanguard has been secretly set in motion.

Shion's AwakeningWhile Shion fights as many chasers as possible, Chrono and Tokoha end up imprisoned after they each fall for some of the G Quest's traps. To rescue them, Shion must defeat the "prison guard" Miwa. Shion has a tough time due to Miwa's Seal Dragon deck benefiting from his normal tactics. Nevertheless, with new-found resolve to change himself, Shion sticks to his strategy and ultimately wins the fight. Soon afterwards, the quest ends with Shion having gained the majority of the points and thus making Team TRY3 the winner.
A Place of Chance Meetings

A Place of Chance MeetingsShion is searching for Ace, the boy who stole his family's fortune. Chrono is focusing on getting stronger for a G Quest victory. But Tokoha feels left behind and without a goal. She lends a hand at Card Capital, which is mobbed with people waiting for the tournament to start, and has a talk (and a fight) with Misaki, who's been in the same position before.

Zoo BranchTeam TRY3 competes against Naoki, Shingo, and many others as part of Zoo Branch's Quest. Only one person can battle the mystery fighter from another country, but first all the teams compete in a Vanguard cooking contest.

Legendary DTo truly clear the Zoo branch's quest, TRY3 goes through more challenges. First, they defeat a hundred Megacolony soldiers in a short amount of time (using toy weapons). Then, while forced to cosplay as Card Warriors Vangamen, they face off against Team Trinity Dragon in a battle of wits. Finally, Chrono cardfights the "final boss", Daigo. Learning from Daigo's words, Chrono regains his resolve and wins against him. With that, TRY3 officially completes the Zoo branch's G Quest.

Naked FightAfter Kamui takes Chrono and the boys to a neighborhood bathhouse for some "special training," a heated battle ensues between them. Also, Chrono learns that everything he's ever heard about the planet Cray and its inhabitants is real!

Ibuki's MiscalculationDuring the second half of their fight, Chrono and Ibuki get fed up with each other. Ibuki accuses Chrono of not improving since their last match, while Chrono is sick of Ibuki's behind-the-scenes machinations. Can the two reach an accord and a satisfying ending to the fight?

Card Capital #1Shin holds a shop tournament at the original Card Capital, which brings together a mix of old favorites and newer characters. Does Chrono stand a chance against the fighter who taught Kamui everything he knows?

Mikuru ShindouAfter the tournament, Shin talks with Chrono and reveals that he and Chrono's father Rive were friends and teammates. Knowing that Chrono wants to face Ryuzu Myoujin and despite warning him that he may die, Shin decides to have a cardfight with Chrono to test his resolve. During the battle, Shin reveals Ryuzu was involved in Rive's death, which causes Chrono to worry that Mikuru will be put in danger as well. But with some encouraging words from Mikuru, Chrono makes up his mind; he will protect both her and Vanguard from Ryuzu.

Vanguard Girl's MeetLuna wants to get closer to her Rummy Labyrinth idol partner, but Am seems distant and even depressed lately. When Luna goes to Tokoha and Kumi for advice, they end up running into Am and one silly argument later, Tokoha and Am are having a Vanguard showdown.
