The Hamelaars have finally arrived at the Watercastle of Wamp. They find King Zwankezwaan, father of Clovis as well as Goudriaan the rat-catcher, under Wenzela's spell. Then Ambtenaar Ogterop arrives in a flying trunk, having picked up a helpless old lady along the way. The old wench turns out to be Wenzela, and she's using the powder of Poo to influence Bertram.
