It's a magical box with a desolate landscape in it. Anyone who looks into the box will instantly switch places with its contents, along with the surroundings which that person is standing in.

Kerfstok, De FeeThe feast of Hollebollegijs (which coincides with Christmas) is about to be celebrated at castle Bambergen, but the inhabitants are suffering from memory loss. Ambtenaar Ogterop Deux thinks somebody has been misusing a 'Vergeetboek', a book in which you write down things you want to forget about. So, the Hamelaars travel to Wudel, where the nearest of those books is kept, and find themselves in the middle of a ghost party.

De KuddegeestIt is the last day for princes to enter themselves into the Prinsentoto and there is still no sign of Princess Madelein's true love, Prince Tor. Hildebrand, cooking for the entire castle, is overworked. Just then a mysterious stranger named Tilanus van Gulik arrives, accompanied by his gnome servants. All who come into contact with him suddenly become as docile as sheep.
