Sanyok reported in detail about the attack to his elder Luka. He is pleased that Mironov is now “smeared with blood”, but asks Sanka not to take his eyes off the police, because his father, a general in the Russian branch of Interpol, is Luka’s partner. Their common business is the arms trade. Makar manages to find out that a Porsche with the same numbers as at the scene was seen at Ivanchuk's house, and the owner of this car is a police officer.
