Briar puts a nut inside the barrel of Logger Vick's hunting rifle. When Logger Vick fires a bullet, his gun explodes. Now that he lost his rifle, Logger Vick has to find a replacement weapon before he could go out to the forest to confront the bears. Logger Vick makes a hunting bow and some arrows on his own. He comes to the bears and challenges them.
