Kim Woo bin plays ‘5-8’, a Knight with a mission and a moral compass. The world’s wrecked, the rich live in domes and the rest wear respirators and hustle for oxygen. It’s Mad Max meets K-drama, with slick visuals and a surprisingly emotional core. The action’s tight, the pacing’s sharp and the cast sells it. Kang You-seok as the refugee Sa wol brings heart and Song Seung-heon’s villainy is just the right amount of theatrical. But it needed more episodes. You could feel there was more story, more world building, more character depth waiting to be unpacked. It ended too soon for how much potential it had.
