In 2029, robots have become an ordinary part of human life - they help raise children, work as personal drivers, security guards, and lovers. For most people, "Bots" are just soulless machines that perform routine work, but they also become capable of emotions. A group of rebels, "The Liquidators," reject life with the bots - and are ready to shed human blood in their war against the machines.

    Episode OneDuring visitation rights, Georgy discover's his ex-wife's secret plan to relocate to Australia with their kids, Sonya and Egor. Meanwhile, at the Cronos robot sales company, Director Victor's latest black market acquisition, Arisa, arrives but escapes through a security man's mishandling. Able to harm humans (a rarity), Arisa crosses paths with pre-adolescent Sonya, and a bond is made.

    Episode TwoVic searches for Arisa, who is hidden in the Safranov household by Sonya. Detective Varlamov investigates a murder linked to anti-bot vigilantes.

Both Victor (through Gleb) and Varlamov use Egor's arrest as leverage to secure Georgy's favor; but, ultimately, it's Alla who must pay the price, forced to present a happy public family life, and whose presence Arisa finds troubling.

Losev's meeting with Minister Dnestrov and Goronenko throws a wrench into Victor's grand scheme, calling for a second bot contest, and forcing Victor to change directions.

Lara, soon to die anyway from an inoperable tumor, presents a solution agreeable to all but Georgy. Meanwhile, Igor continues to try freeing Svetlana from the mental asylum, while Egor, trying to free Jeanne from the hospital before Social Services ships her off to an orphanage, has a run-in with an unsatisfactory sales clerk.

    Episode SixteenCronos wins the financing to mass-produce Arisa bots while Maslovsky erases her memory. Gleb plots to blow up the factory and blame the Liquidators.
