Lucian "Lucy" Marian, a vampire who has lived in solitude for years in New York City, finds a human roommate named Ben. A foggy memory of the night before quickly reveals to be a major discovery for Ben: he's living with a vampire and owns an apartment building. Unexpected visitors from Lucy's past along with surprising new friendships confront Lucy with how to move forward with his life, and perplex Ben on how he can fit into a world where vampires are real.
