Artur publishes a book about the search for the flower of the fern. This attracts the attention of Aurel, a collector of magic lore. Aurel is prepared to do anything to get the flower. He kidnaps Sasha and Artur while his associates capture Kirill. At the airport Kirill meets Maks, and they manage to escape together. They decide to fly out of a different airport but there is no time. Meanwhile mourning for Edmond is declared in Belovodye. No one suspects that Vigus is behind his murder. The death of Edmond breaks an ancient spell, and the secret he, Claudius and Stephania have been keeping for hundreds of years is out.
