Dr. Matthew "Matt" Thorne, the younger brother of the infamous crime boss Rupert Thorne is forced to take care of him after losing his medical license. Bruce soon learns that Matt was close friends with his father, Thomas and his doctor, Leslie. Batman decides to protect and save Matt and Leslie from Rupert who desperately needs a heart operation.
