Kobayashi Hassei, a self-absorbed 29-year-old dancer at Komorikawa Ballet, aggressively markets himself to promote male ballet while forming an unlikely friendship with veteran Moriyama and fellow dancer Sasaki. Their disciplined world of rehearsals and teaching is shattered when Hassei unexpectedly announces his retirement from ballet, despite his deep passion for the art.
