Bad Girls (1999) Ratings & Reviews
- Julie JonesJanuary 12, 2026Just finished watching them all again, One of British TV's finest shows ever! Bad Girls had me hooked from the word go! You do learn to genuinely care about the characters over time as their Tragic backstories become clear and you care also for some of the more sympathetic guards trying to do a difficult job under difficult curcumstances. I just wish they didn't cancel it I believe it could've done with another 2 serise and had a proper good ending

It is a show that knows it's limitations, often dramatic and funny but also knowingly campy at times. This show makes stereotypes of it's characters and is a joy to watch. It is worth it for a laugh and a shake of the head alone. Good drinking game - drink every time somebody you're watching with says, "That would never happen in a real prison!"
