Arthur of the Britons

Season 1

Arthur is the chief of a small Celt tribe in Dark Ages Britain, a century or two after the withdrawal of Rome. Arthur struggles to weave the scattered tribes of Celts, Jutes and others into a union that can effectively oppose the Saxon invaders who are arriving in Britain in growing numbers. He is aided by his adoptive father, Llud, and his foster brother, Kai, who is himself a Saxon foundling.

Enemies and LoversMorcant suspects Arthur and Kai are after the hand of Goda, the daughter of King Athel - and Morcant wants her for himself. So he has Arthur and Kai arrested and claims they have acted as spies for the Saxons.

The Wood People

The Wood PeopleA Saxon ex-gladiator kidnaps two children of the wandering herbalist Wood People tribe, and will only return them in exchange for Arthur. It takes both Arthur's own warriors and the herbalists to save the day.
The Prize

The PrizeArthur tricks Mark of Cornwall into travelling into Saxon territory with him and a small band of warriors, all disguised as Saxons, in order to retrieve a great treasure. But the treasure is not quite what Mark has been led to believe.
