- ZercesApril 27, 2026A nice anime to watch in between other things, but relatively monotonous. Season 1 was the best, but the pace slowed down a bit after that. It always ends the same way, but you can't really go wrong if you're into the isekai genre. I like the anime, but so far the story is a bit too weak for me... and Hajime just effortlessly achieves every goal. The animation is also a bit weak at times. All in all, solid, but not outstanding.

Hajime starts out as the weakest kid in his class, gets betrayed, nearly dies in a dungeon, and comes back as a ruthless powerhouse who doesn’t waste time playing hero. That edge is what makes the show fun. The action is solid, Hajime’s abilities are used creatively, and his relationship with Yue gives the story some emotional grounding. The animation—especially the CGI—can be rough, and the tone eventually shifts into harem comedy, which won’t work for everyone. Still, if you like edgy power fantasies and don’t mind some jank, Arifureta is an easy and entertaining binge.
