While Rhade's busy defending refugees on Seefra 5 from a local warlord, Dylan's surprised to find Hohne, the Perseid scientist who'd been thought killed whilst he helped Harper remove the Magog eggs. They attempt to recreate the device, which they feel can help to resupply the refugees, but while they rebuild the device, they receive a message from the research station near the black hole where they first tried too build the device.
